Minimum age 21 – Maximum 73. Drivers must have held a full driving licence for a minimum period of 24 months. Drivers must be aged between 21 and 69 to hire commercial vehicles, and will also require the correct driving licence entitlement. 21 – 25 year olds will be subject to specific insurance terms and must have held a Full licence for at least two years, accident and endorsement free.
All advertised prices include Fully Comprehensive Insurance, however this excludes vehicle contents, all glass, tyre damage, punctures, roof damage, door mirror damage or damage sustained through wilful neglect. (Driving through wildlife parks is not covered). Our Insurance Excess included in the standard price is £1000. Although we don’t offer an excess waiver we always recommend purchasing a policy from an approved insurance company before the commencement of the hire, details can be provided upon request. Our normal hire period is from 08:30am on the day of collection through until 07:30am on the day of return (changes allowed where required subject to availability, additional charges may apply).
Weekend rate runs from 4 PM on a Friday until 07.30 AM on a Monday.
A damage deposit of £200 plus the Cost of Hire is required upon hiring of vehicles. Payment of deposits can only be made by debit or credit card. Where a booking deposit is taken, this will only be refunded if the booking is cancelled at least 7 days before the hire date. The £200 deposit is fully refunded when the vehicle is returned on time, with no additional damage and a full tank of fuel. (Although deposits are processed during the next working period after the vehicles return they can take up to 3 days to appear in your account)
In the event of vehicle damage or any fines received relating to your hire period, including and not limited to Speeding, Congestion, Bridge Toll, Bus Lane, Parking, or any other traffic or parking contraventions an administration fee will be charged.
The carrying of pets is forbidden in all of our vehicles. An additional charge will be levied in the event of any damage caused or special cleaning required.
All Vehicles are designated as non-smoking, any fines are the liability of the hirer. A cleaning charge will be levied if you smoke in any of our vehicles
Gemini Self Drive is permitted to revise these Terms at any time as it sees fit, and by using this Website you are expected to review these Terms on a regular basis.
